Who is this girl and what is she designing?

Christina Payton is my name. I am happily married and have one daughter. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Media Communications and am working on my MFA in Graphic Design. I create anything from websites to logos, but have a love for designing logos. I love graphic design, web design and other forms of editing for the web. I enjoy photography and editing photos. In my spare time I create and sell jewelry. I have an insane passion for the Earth and all of this is because my family keeps me going and gives me a reason for my dreams.

BoxPark Sushi is a metaphorical brand that I designed as apart of my Media Design Master of Fine Arts Degree. The assignment was to brand a sushi restaurant that would be owned by BoxPark. BoxPark is a business in the UK that uses shipping containers as their buildings. The buildings can be anything from restaurants to clothing shops. Throughout the course we had to create everything from designing the logo to creating briefs and making plans for the design of BoxPark Sushi. The biggest problem was to come with a way to incur revenue for the brand. This was done by creating a logo and from there creating assets that could be posted in the East Side Milwaukee, WI where BoxPark Sushi would be located. Creating the assets would solve the problem by creating advertisements and incurring revenue for BoxPark Sushi.

What research informed the development of this project? When developing this project there was quite a bit of research that went into developing it. There was research on BoxPark so that the company's values etc could be used to help form BoxPark Sushi. ("BOXPARK", 2020) There was other research such as creating surveys to gather information about from the target audience. Other forms of research were researching The East Side Milwaukee and BoxPark Sushi's direct competitors. Overall, there was a lot that went into the development of BoxPark Sushi.

Compared to BoxPark Sushi's competitors this project is superior due to various reasons. One of them being the BoxPark Sushi is entirely eco friendly. Everything that can be reused safely will go into designing the building and decor. They will use paper straws and recyclable paper bags etc. Another thing that makes BoxPark Sushi unique is that its look in feel is totally different. Compared to its local competitors BoxPark Sushi will be modern with a mix of traditional. In the Eastside Milwaukee area and BoxPark Sushi's direct competitors there seemed to be a reoccurring theme of nautical decor throughout. I wanted BoxPark to be unique in the fact that it wasn't nautical. Overall, BoxPark Sushi is an awesome idea and I greatly enjoyed branding it.
